Tell the scheduler when the shop is open. Inject, reflow, capacity, and MRP all read these weekdays and holidays — work is never placed on a closed day.
Holiday and Shutdown both close the shop for that day — the labels just help you tell a one-off holiday from a planned closure (add a day per date). Working weekend is the opposite: it opens a Saturday or Sunday you're normally closed. No work is scheduled on closed days.
